JUST days after a southern suburbs couple won $20 million in Powerball, another local has become a Lotto millionaire.
The winner picked up $1,057,283 from a ticket bought at Kelmscott Newsagency, bringing WA's tally of Division 1 winners so far this year to 50. These winners have shared in almost $100 million worth of prize money.
Owner of the Kelmscott Newsagency, Manny Muscat, said his outlet had delivered five Division 2 wins over the last few months, so it was time that Division 1 Lotto luck struck.
"This is the first Division 1 win we have had since we started at this outlet two years ago. We owned two other lottery outlets previous to this and each of those stores had two Division 1 Lotto wins. Lotto luck must be following us," Mr Muscat said.
He said it was a great feeling to know he had made one of his customers a millionaire.
