POLICE have charged a 27-year-old man with assaulting a security guard on a bus last night.
It will be alleged that just before 6pm the 27-year-old man and his wife and four children boarded a bus from the Morley bus station to the city.
It's alleged the man had a heated discussion with his wife and starting swearing.
A 25-year-old male security officer approached him in an effort to defuse the situation when it's alleged the man grabbed the security guard by the neck with both hands.
Police attended the scene and charged the 27-year old with assault public officer.
He will appear in court later this month.
