POLICE are investigating after a mentally-impaired woman was attacked and robbed by a group of men in Shoalwater.
Police said the 55-year-old woman was walking home along McLarty Road about 9.45pm on Monday after spending the night with friends at a nearby bowling alley.
She was walking along her bus route intending to catch a bus when she was approached by four men in a sedan.
Three of the men got out of the car and grabbed the woman's bag, knocking her to the ground.
They then left in the vehicle with the handbag.
The woman suffered multiple bruises and needed medical treatment.
